4-H EXECUTIVE TEAM MEETING SUMMARY
for February 20, 2009

Meeting called to order by Melba Riel at 10:02 am.
Those in attendance: Melba Riel, Corinne Olsen, Anita Raddatz

Discussed items to be put on March 14th 4-H Council meeting agenda:

1. Do pledge of allegiance and 4-H pledge.

2. Discuss previous council meetings minutes and vote to approve them.

3. Financial report-Anita showed us with the current numbers and the log that Debbie keeps track of them on.

4. Executive Team meeting summary: discuss in council meeting any items discussed in Executive Team meeting that are of importance to the council.

5. Reports:

a. Nominations/elections committee
b. YLT/Ambassadors

6. Website update : The calendar needs to be updated.

7. Current business:
a. Themes for monthly workshops: Changes were made from Jan. 10th 4-H Council meeting.
March- Music (Darrel & Corinne Olsen family)
April- Cancelled due to it being Easter weekend. (Anita thought it was better to do this than to change the date of the workshop)
May- Entomology (Olsen family)
June- Plant Science
July- Heritage
August- Prepare for Fair
Sept.- Marine biology
Oct.- Perform & Record
Nov.- Holiday crafts

b. YLT/Ambassadors: Scorecard was approved at Feb. 14th council meeting and will be placed on website. New County and Region Ambassadors will be given teen leader pin and a t-shirt when the ambassadors are installed. Ambassador applications are due on April 1st and are installed on May 1st. Application will be put on website when we here from Clint if they are doing it next year.

c. Selection committee for scholarship & ambassador selection: Melba, Anita, Debbie, maybe Matt Palmer or Mark Oakley will meet on April 16th, Thursday, at 9:30am to look over the scholarship & ambassador applications and pick winners. Next Exec. Team meeting same day @10:30am.

d. Expansion & Review Team report –Anita

e. Above & Beyond Pin Award Applications- revised and needs to be approved at 4-H council meeting. (see attached)
