4-H EXECUTIVE TEAM MEETING SUMMARY
for April 16th, 2010
Meeting called to order by Melba Riel at 10:10am
Those in attendance: Melba Riel, Corinne Olsen, Anita Raddatz, Cheryl Bartholomew, Karen Poe, Alexia Bost, Ron Poe
Discussed items to be put on May 4-H Council meeting agenda:
1. Do pledge of allegiance and 4-H pledge.
2. Discuss Nov. &April council meetings minutes and vote to approve them.
3. Reports:
a. Financial report- Anita
b. YLT/Ambassadors: (Elizabeth)

2. Earthquake training- will bring up in YLT

5. Parades- Cheryl needs someone to help walk with the kids at the Scandinavian Festival. Karen said she would.
c. Expansion & Review- Nothing is happening yet.

e. Promotion/marketing: (Anita) Melba recommended that council meeting dates and time be in the newspaper.

June ?- 4-H Cooking contests

g. Website update : Anita said that the last page will be in today. They’ve been doing a lot of work on it.
4. Current business:
a. Workshops:
May 8th- TRY Science activities (YLT)- Making bath salts, body scrub, etc. (Report on workshop)
June 8-10th- TRY Science activities (Robotics TRY teams)- Need to approve money
June 12th- TRY Science activities Recharge (YLT)- Elizabeth will help TRY team because Cheryl can’t be there. The people trained in Recharge might be moving.
July 10th- TRY Science activities Recharge (YLT)-Cheryl needs adult volunteer because she can’t be there. Karen said that she could possibly help.
How to: Visual Displays
August 14th- Create for Fair (Thrift shop sewing/ how sewing machine works/fashion show)
How to: Fair Judging
Sept. 11th- Aerospace activities at Fly-in at Mt. Pleasant airport (YLT/4-H leaders)
b. Scholarships: Nothing to report yet.
5. Misc. items: Cheryl will call Horse Show people to find out if they need us to provide food services on July 6th.
