4-H EXECUTIVE TEAM MEETING SUMMARY
for July 16th, 2010

Meeting called to order by Melba Riel at 9:55am
Those in attendance: Melba Riel, Corinne Olsen, Anita Raddatz, Cheryl Bartholomew, Karen Poe, Alexia Bost, Ron Poe, Jr., Ron Poe

Discussed items to be put on August 4-H Council meeting agenda:

1. Do pledge of allegiance and 4-H pledge.

2. Discuss Nov. & July council meetings minutes and vote to approve them.

3. Reports:

a. Financial report- Anita

b. Nominations: For 4-H Council offices of Secretary and Pres. Elect. Will be advertised in the e-news for nominations to be accepted until August 14th council meeting. The nominations will be called for at the start of the meeting, closed, and then elections will take place. (Passed unanimously with motion 1-Karen and Motion 2- Cheryl) Karen Poe is the president for next year.

c. YLT/Ambassadors: (Cheryl/Elizabeth)
1. TRY teams- Will train all YLT in Sept. meeting. Will have Healthy Lifestyles and Science. Will also try to get professional to teach water resources and help with National Science Experiment in October. November start teaching TRY workshops. Space TRY training will be done by state in the fall.
2. Earthquake training- Karen will do this for 10 min. at August meeting
3. Braille books- Almost done.
4. Training- may be in September
5. Parades- Mayfield on July 24th. Cheryl will check to see if they can sell the treats leftover from JYC.
6. National Science Experiment- October
7. National Promotion Week- October
8. Ambassadors- will induct them at fair

How to: Fair Judging (cancelled)
Sept. 11th- Aerospace activities at Fly-in at Mt. Pleasant airport (YLT/4-H leaders)

c. Achievement Night- Sept. 30th at 6pm at Ephraim Citizen’s Center

5. New business section to be addressed at next 4-H council meeting: Farmers market, Fair book, special contests
