4-H EXECUTIVE TEAM MEETING SUMMARY
for August 20th, 2009
Meeting called to order by Melba Riel at 9:56 am
Those in attendance: Melba Riel, Corinne Olsen, Anita Raddatz
Discussed items to be put on Sept. 4-H Council meeting agenda:
1. Do pledge of allegiance and 4-H pledge.
2. Discuss previous council meetings minutes and vote to approve them.
3. Reports:
a. Financial report-
a. Nominations/elections committee: Appointed Melba Riel as President, Karen Poe as Pres. Elect, and Corinne Olsen as Secretary.
b. YLT/Ambassadors: (Cheryl/Elizabeth)
Need to talk about what will be done for Promotion week.
c. Expansion & Review-Will do survey of the public on Fri. and Sat. of fair. Will give prize to those who give us an email address.
d. County Clubs: Birding (on break)/Needlework clubs-Melba

4. Current business:
a. Workshops:
Sept.12th- Marine biology (Cheryl/Anita)-report at council meeting
Oct. 10th- Perform & Record (Cheryl)
Nov.14th- Holiday crafts (Cheryl)-Melba will help if needed
b. Scholarships: Go over changes made by executive team to application. Vote will be at October council meeting.
c. “Formula for Success” program: Cheryl and Anita. Will present program at October meeting.
5. New business section to be addressed at next 4-H council meeting
National 4-H week, Workshop strategies and themes, theme
6. State calendar items:
Sept. 3rd- Entry day for State Fair
Sept. 4th- Judging day at State Fair
