4-H EXECUTIVE TEAM MEETING SUMMARY
for September 18th, 2009

Meeting called to order by Melba Riel at 10:08 am
Those in attendance: Melba Riel, Corinne Olsen, Anita Raddatz, Cheryl Bartholomew

Discussed items to be put on Sept. 4-H Council meeting agenda:

1. Do pledge of allegiance and 4-H pledge.

2. Discuss previous council meetings minutes and vote to approve them.

3. Reports:

a. Financial report- Create financial report for the new year.


b. YLT/Ambassadors: (Cheryl/Elizabeth)
1. TRY teams- 5 possible teams
2. Ambassador meetings: Nov. ?, Jan. 18th, Feb. 20th, March 12-13th (Teen Retreat)
3. Braille books

c. Expansion & Review-Anita will report on what has come in so far.

d. County Clubs: Needlework clubs-Melba

GPS-Craig

e. Promotion/marketing: Anita said that 3 families have called in since the radio spot and wanted to know about TRY teams.

f. Contests:
April 10th- 4-H Talent/public speaking/robotics/demonstrations/Fashion Revue Expo.
June 12th- 4-H Cooking contests

g. Website update : Anita is going to tape Vernon Kunz talking about portfolios in November.

b. Scholarships: Go over changes made by executive team to application. Vote at October council meeting.


c. “Formula for Success” program: Cheryl and Anita. Present program at October meeting.


d. 4-H Achievement Night- portfolios, sec. books, Above & Beyond pin award applications, Overall Achievement scorecards due on the 2nd Fri. in October (Oct. 9th). Revised the Overall Achievement Award for this year (see attached). Need to have next years out earlier so people can know what is expected of them.


5. New business section to be addressed at next 4-H council meeting
Overall 4-H Achievement award, Achievement Night, Awards due in Oct.
