4-H EXECUTIVE TEAM MEETING SUMMARY
for October 15th, 2009



Meeting called to order by Melba Riel at 9:50am
Those in attendance: Melba Riel, Corinne Olsen, Anita Raddatz, Cheryl Bartholomew
Did the pledges.

Discussed items to be put on Nov. 4-H Council meeting agenda:

1. Do pledge of allegiance and 4-H pledge.

2. Discuss previous council meetings minutes and vote to approve them.

3. Reports:

a. Financial report- Debbie will give us the up-to-date info. and show us the year end report.

b. YLT/Ambassadors: (Cheryl/Elizabeth)
1. TRY teams- 5 possible teams (New additional recharge team with Jillyn Jones and Anayeli Esparza with Shirlyn Jones as the mentor)
2. Ambassador meetings: Nov. 13th, Jan. 18th, Feb. 20th, March 12-13th (Teen Retreat)
Discussion of need for getting dates from Clint earlier. Anita talked to Clint.
3. Braille books
4. Parades
5. Dec. activity to assisted living

c. Expansion & Review-Anita will report on what has come in so far. Anita discussed this committee with Kevin Kesler. Diversity is a big deal. This committee serves more than one time a year and it looks at demographics, data, and project areas. It is made up of adults: 1 from a non-profit organization, 1 from a business, 1 from a youth organization, people fro different ethnic groups, home school rep., and special needs rep. We serve as answers to their questions. We can’t influence their decisions and what they decide we have to do.
