4-H EXECUTIVE TEAM MEETING SUMMARY
for Jan. 22nd, 2010
Meeting called to order by Melba Riel at 10:55am
Those in attendance: Melba Riel, Corinne Olsen, Anita Raddatz, Cheryl Bartholomew
Discussed items to be put on Jan. 4-H Council meeting agenda:
1. Do pledge of allegiance and 4-H pledge.
2. Discuss Nov. & Jan. council meetings minutes and vote to approve them.
3. Reports:
a. Financial report- Anita
b. YLT/Ambassadors: (Cheryl/Elizabeth/Brandon Hveem)
1. TRY teams-
2. Ambassador meetings: Jan. 18th, Feb. 20th, March 12-13th (Teen Retreat)-Should advertise the general info. that is known on the e-news. Conflict with 2nd Saturday workshop.
3. Braille books
4. Training- taking minutes, doing portfolios, how to report at council meetings, etc.
c. Expansion & Review- Horse meeting was postponed to nest Thursday at 7pm.
d. County Clubs: Needlework clubs-Melba

-Anita sent out links to parent notes in email for surveys.
-Kids need to make maps and present to city by March.
-Chad doesn’t want to use ARC because it is too complicated.

April 10th- 4-H Talent/public speaking/robotics/demonstrations/Fashion Revue Expo.
Will be done at Eva Beal auditorium in Manti. It is free. Will send out sign up list in Feb.
June 12th- 4-H Cooking contests

We committed to supply older kids to help with activities.
b. Scholarships: Committee needs to include 1 person from each council. Need vote.
c. Awards: Cheryl will provide us with rough drafts of Achievement Points to look over so that we can get the updated versions on the computer. Also need to review pin award app.
d. Leadermete: Updated info on state website with descriptions of classes.
